What the token unlocks
The token gives two activations. Each one opens 14 days during which items sold for V‑Bucks show FREE, like the One Piece outfits, usually sold for 1,600 to 1,800 V‑Bucks according to IGN. Whatever you claim stays in your Locker, even after it ends.

The 14-day countdown starts when you activate the token, not when you find it.

Each bar shows the period during which the action is still possible. Epic announces the Chapter 7 finale event for Saturday, December 5. Fortnite Tracker ends the treasure hunt on Friday the 4th.
How to find it
There is no guaranteed spot: the token drops at random when you open a chest on Crossbones Isle.
Play Battle Royale
Most sources say an ordinary chest can drop it. The first known winner found it in Solo, in an unremarkable house.
According to Beebom, the token doesn’t drop in Ranked.
Open as many chests as you can
Big locations give you more chances: Arlong Park, Loguetown and Lantern Landing come up most often. Chests also refill over time.
No source confirms that a refilled chest rerolls the draw.
Watch for the banner
YOU FOUND PIRATE SHOP ACCESS appears when the chest opens. No need to win the match: the token is already on your account and the summary is waiting for you in the lobby.
In a group, the whole team gets it too, according to many articles. Epic Games hasn’t announced this.
1 chance in how many?
Epic Games hasn’t published any drop rate. Two estimates are going around, and one makes the token 350 times rarer than the other.
The token is retrieved directly from the game logs, along with your session ID.
Activate at the right time
The button appears at the bottom of the Item Shop if you own a token. From the lobby:
- Item Shop
- Plunder the Item Shop
- Activate Now
- Claim your items
- Make sure the items you want are actually in the shop: activating doesn’t add anything by itself.
- An item that leaves the shop before you claim it is no longer available in that rotation.
- An activation on November 6 runs until the 20th: every arrival announced below fits inside it.

Traps to avoid
Mistaking a Gizmo for the token
Most chest rewards are Gizmos, like the Sprite Locator. Only the golden banner announces the token.
Paying for a token
The token can’t be transferred: no site can generate or sell one. Token Finder will never ask for your password.
Believing in guaranteed methods
A counter after 1,000 chests, switching regions, breaking chests: Timesaver finds no proof. Dot Esports confirms that no number of chests guarantees the token.
Leaving your account unprotected
Timesaver and Pro-Gamer recommend two-factor authentication, at fn.gg/2FA. Turn it on before activating the token.
Where the sources disagree
On these points, keep some doubt and trust what the game shows.
- Treasure Hours
- Epic announces them on Saturdays, with boosted spawns, without mentioning the token. Beebom and Pro-Gamer place them on Sundays.
- Zero Build
- Yes according to Pro-Gamer, unconfirmed according to Timesaver.
- Chest type
- Any chest for Gamewave, Pro-Gamer and Timesaver; treasure hunt chests for Shacknews, Beebom and Dot Esports.
- Mascots
- Only one for Gamewave, Pro-Gamer and esports.gg; one of each for Vice, games.gg and Dot Esports.
- Token sign
- The chest shakes before bursting open for Gamewave; the effect only comes when it opens for Timesaver and Pro-Gamer.
- 2027 token
- January 1 to December 15 for most sources. IGN, on November 1, didn’t know these dates yet.

The named location nearest to the chosen chest.
The grid square
A letter and a number, to find on the map grid, from A to J and from 1 to 10.
The type
Standard, guaranteed, rare or buried. The type tells you what to look for on the spot.
Moving around the map
With a mouse or a finger, drag to move, and pinch or use the wheel to zoom. With the keyboard:
